It is now possible to control the light levels of lighting fixtures equipped with multiple ballasts in a manner described as stepped dimming. In the stepped dimming mode individual ballasts powering different lamps (bulbs) are switched on or off to accomplish various desired light levels. Previously in order to achieve this result it was necessary to bring individual ballast conductors back to the central switching center where they could be individually switched. Now there is an easy way to pick the light level that best meets your needs.
